DescriptionThe whole story▼
Blue or black is what the CVS01 brings to the KTM 300EXC's exhaust valve cover, an alternative to the orange CVN01 covering the same bike's 2007-to-2016 production and the same mechanism. Each closes over the exhaust valve control at the back of the cylinder and replaces the standard-fit part once it needs swapping.
Key Features
- Exhaust valve cover for the KTM 300EXC, 2007 to 2016
- Accossato code CVS01, closes over the exhaust valve control mechanism
- Available in blue or black
- Accossato also lists a second version, CVN01, in orange, for this bike
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna TC 250, TE 250 and TE 300
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
The CVS01 closes over the same position on the cylinder as the orange CVN01, so colour makes no difference to how either fits. Black suits a 300EXC already running a darker guard set, while blue can tie in with earlier KTM graphics some owners still prefer. Both finishes take the same heat from the exhaust side, so warping or cracking is the reason to replace either one.
A Second Finish for a Bigger Engine
Since this bike's extra displacement already sets it apart within KTM's enduro line-up, some owners like the small covers to carry that distinction through in colour as well, and the CVS01 gives that option without touching the valve mechanism itself. Black works well against a bike finished mostly in darker tones, while blue offers a point of contrast. Either way, the part underneath does the identical job as the orange version.
Fitment and Compatibility
Per Accossato's own list, the CVS01 covers the 300EXC's full 2007-to-2016 run. This cover also fits the Husqvarna TC 250, TE 250 and TE 300, all sharing a related valve system, so an owner running more than one of these bikes has a straightforward spare in either colour. Checking the exact build year against that list before ordering remains the usual precaution.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the CVS01, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
