DescriptionThe whole story▼
Down at the crankcase, the YZ250F takes the same small plug found on the Yamaha WR450F, closing off an opening that stays out of sight except during a service or a rebuild. Accossato lists a blue crankcase plug for the YZ250F built between 2014 and 2017.
Key Features
- Crankcase plug for the Yamaha YZ250F, 2014 to 2017
- Accossato code KEP11, fitted to the engine crankcase
- Replaces a lost, damaged or corroded original plug
- Available in blue
- Same part also listed for the Yamaha WR450F
- Accossato lists a front brake reservoir cover, two rear covers, an oil filter cover and an oil filler plug for this bike too
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
This plug is made to close the YZ250F's crankcase opening specifically, so it seats the way the factory plug always has. Blue is the only finish offered, giving a small, deliberate highlight down at engine level. A plug that has corroded in place, or simply gone missing during a previous strip-down, is a straightforward thing to put right without any wider engine work.
A Narrow Fitment Window on a Widely Updated Engine
Accossato's own list for this plug covers only four model years of the YZ250F, a narrower window than some of this bike's other small covers, which is a reminder that Yamaha revises the YZ250F's engine more frequently than a casual glance at the bike's bodywork would suggest. Checking the exact year carefully before ordering matters more here than on parts with a wider spread of covered years.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the YZ250F built between 2014 and 2017 on this plug's own application list. The identical plug also fits the Yamaha WR450F. For the rest of the YZ250F, Accossato lists ABK02, PBH01, PBK01, TFY02 and TOR01.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for this plug, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition riding rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
