DescriptionThe whole story▼
A 350 SX-F used mainly for practice days rather than racing still earns plenty of hours on worn-in tracks where the dirt has been chewed up by dozens of other bikes, and loose chunks of that chewed-up surface kick up toward the rear sprocket on every lap. Accossato lists the GCM1 for the 350 SX-F built from 2011 to 2020, a chain guide fitted ahead of the sprocket to keep the chain on line through exactly that kind of worn, unpredictable surface.
Key Features
- Chain guide for the KTM 350 SX-F, 2011 to 2020
- Accossato code GCM1, mounts ahead of the rear sprocket
- Keeps the chain tracking true over chopped-up, worn track surfaces
- Orange, blue or black
- Same part also listed for the Husqvarna FE 350 and the KTM 125 EXC
- Accossato also lists a swingarm slider, GPM1, and a floating slider, GSM1, for this bike
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
The GCM1 is shaped specifically for the 350 SX-F's swingarm, sitting ahead of the sprocket where this bike's own design places it rather than a shape borrowed from elsewhere. Orange, blue and black make up the finishes on offer, there to suit the rest of the bike. A guide knocked out of position after repeated laps on a rough, worn track is worth checking and swapping if it no longer sits flush.
Laps on a Track That Has Seen Better Days
A practice track used by dozens of riders over a single day develops ruts, loose clods and holes that a freshly groomed circuit never has, and every one of those features throws debris in slightly different directions as different bikes pass over them. A 350 SX-F spending most of its time on tracks like that puts the chain guide to work more consistently than one mostly ridden on a freshly prepared surface, since there is rarely a clean line to follow. Checking the guide after a full day of practice laps, rather than only after a race, catches wear building up from exactly this kind of riding.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's own list puts the 350 SX-F on the GCM1 across the full 2011-to-2020 run, and the identical guide also covers the Husqvarna FE 350 along with the smaller KTM 125 EXC, since all three share the relevant swingarm shape. A bike bought at either end of that run should still be checked against the list before ordering. For this 350 SX-F, Accossato lists only the GPM1 swingarm slider and the GSM1 floating slider alongside the GCM1, with no axle blocks offered for this particular model.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for the GCM1, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition use rather than for a bike ridden on public roads.
