A dual-sport is made to leave the tarmac, and the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3 is no exception. For its rear caliper, Accossato offers the AGPA29 pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound, the material the company calls its compound for off-road riders. It is for owners who take their electric DS onto forest tracks, muddy green lanes and sandy paths, where the rear brake is constantly covered in dirt and water.

Construction and Material Quality
The STMX is Accossato's off-road friction material, and the company describes it simply as the compound for off-road riders. In the AGPA29 for the 2024 DS it gives the rear brake a pad designed to keep working when dirty, with the long life and fade resistance common to Accossato pads. OR, ST and EV1 versions of the AGPA29 are also listed. The box contains two pads for one caliper.
Green Lanes and Forest Tracks
On loose or muddy ground the rear brake of a dual-sport is often more useful than the front, especially on descents. It lets the rider control speed without the front tyre washing out. Mud and water soak the rear caliper constantly in that setting. A compound designed for off-road riding tolerates that contamination. The quiet electric drive also means riders hear the brake working, and a clean, well-maintained caliper keeps it quiet.
Cleaning Up Afterwards
After a muddy ride, rinse the rear caliper with water, let it dry and check that the pads move freely. Do not aim a pressure washer directly at the seals. Inspect the disc for grooves caused by grit.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA29 for the rear of the 2024 Zero DS with the ZF17.3. For the 2014 to 2017 DS, the rear pad is the AGPP91. The front of the 2024 bike takes the AGPA96, and 2015 to 2017 bikes the AGPA92.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval paperwork for this pad. It is intended for off-road competition and use on private land.
