DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's STMX compound is made for off-road riders, and the AGPP106 rear pad in this version fits the TM Racing MX 450 four-stroke, listed as MX 450 F, from 2005 to 2019. It is intended for riders who race on rough, muddy or sandy tracks, where the rear caliper is constantly exposed to dirt thrown up by the rear tyre.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls STMX its compound for off-road riders and gives no further technical details. Its general aims for brake pads, limited heating against fade, slow wear and strong braking, apply here too.
Rear Brake in the Mud
A big four-stroke like the MX 450 throws up a lot of mud and stones with its rear tyre, and the rear caliper sits right in the path of that debris. On muddy or sandy tracks, the rear brake works in constant contamination. The Off-road sintered STMX mixture is designed for that environment, so the rear brake keeps working through a full moto. That matters most on downhills and in slippery corners, where the rider relies on a small, controlled amount of rear brake on top of the engine braking. For dry or clean wet tracks, the OR and ST versions of this plate are alternatives.
After the Race
Clean the rear brake thoroughly after each race weekend, check pad thickness and inspect the disc for scoring. Stones trapped between pad and disc leave grooves that shorten the life of both.
Choosing the Compound
Riders who race the MX 450 in varied conditions sometimes keep two sets of rear pads, one STMX for mud and sand and one OR or ST for dry or merely wet tracks, and change them to suit the forecast. The swap takes only a few minutes in the paddock.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the rear caliper of TM Racing's MX 450 four-stroke, Accossato's catalogue names AGPP106, and our product covers the model years 2005 to 2019. Its partner at the front is AGPA29, sold here for 2003 to 2019. Older 2003 and 2004 bikes should be checked against the removed pads, since no rear plate is given for them.
Road Approval
AGPP106STMX has no ABE or approval certificate. We sell it for off-road competition.
Scope of Delivery
