STMX rear pads by Accossato for the KTM 790 Adventure, model years 2019 to 2024. STMX is Accossato's Off-road sintered compound, which the company describes as its mix for off-road riders. The 790 Adventure is one of the most capable travel bikes off the tarmac, and owners who head for desert tracks, rocky trails and muddy forest roads use the rear brake constantly. STMX is designed for that kind of riding, whether on an adventure rally, a long overland trip or a weekend of hard trails.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato developed STMX for riding off paved roads. The company's pads are generally designed for strong braking, slow wear and restrained heat, and this rear version applies those aims to the 790 Adventure. The friction material is bonded to a steel carrier made for the rear caliper.
Off-Road on a Big Twin
Off-road riders on heavy adventure bikes use the rear brake more than on any other kind of motorcycle: to steer on loose ground, to control speed on steep descents without risking the front, and to stop the bike on slippery slopes. Dust, mud and water are ever-present. STMX is designed for that environment. For touring on tarmac, ST or OR make more sense, and EV1 suits fast road riding.
Rally and Trail Care
Clean the rear caliper after dusty or muddy days, check pad thickness regularly and carry a spare set on long trips. Replace pads before they wear right down to the backing, because a worn-out pad scores the disc quickly and a new disc is far harder to find in the middle of nowhere than a set of pads.
Fitment and Compatibility
These STMX pads fit the rear caliper of the KTM 790 Adventure from 2019 to 2024, matching Accossato's reference ADVENTURE 790 (2019-2024). One box renews the rear. For the front, Accossato lists AGPA96, which requires two boxes for the two calipers.
Road Approval
This rear pad has no German ABE or test certificate in our records and is supplied for racing purposes.
