DescriptionThe whole story▼
Extreme enduro on a KTM 300 EXC puts the rear brake right in the firing line: logs, rocks, riverbeds and mud all hit the low-mounted caliper. Accossato's AGPP80 rear pad in the Off-road sintered mixture, code STMX, is listed for the 300 EXC Enduro from 2004 to 2008 and the 300 EXC TPI from 2018 to 2023. It is the firm's compound for off-road riders, aimed at enduro racers, hard-enduro fans and anyone who rides the bike where the tracks end.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato introduces STMX as its compound for off-road riders and fits it to the standard AGPP80 plate. The company was founded in Moncalieri near Turin in 1969 and builds its pads with long life, reduced fading and strong stopping power as aims across the range. For hard enduro, that means a rear brake meant to survive a demanding day.
Log Crossings and Rocky Climbs
In hard enduro the rear brake is used in unusual ways. Riders drag it to hold the bike still on a steep climb before a restart, use it to control the rear wheel as it drops off a log, and lean on it in rocky descents where the front has little grip. Grit and water are constant companions. A compound designed for that setting keeps working when the caliper is full of dirt, which is what matters when the terrain gives no second chances.
After each ride, rinse the rear brake and check the disc for damage from rocks. Before events, look at the lining depth and clean the piston before fitting new pads.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP80 for the rear of the EXC 300 Enduro from 2004 to 2008 and the EXC 300 TPI from 2018 to 2023. Years 2009 to 2017 are not covered by this pad; AGPP210 is listed for 2015 to 2023. At the front, AGPA29 and AGPA211 are listed, and discs DK017, DK018 and DK259 are available. Compare old and new pads before fitting.
Road Approval
For AGPP80STMX there is no ABE or German test certificate in our hands; the set is intended for off-road competition.
