DescriptionThe whole story▼
Behind the swingarm of a KTM 250 SX-F, the rear caliper gets hit by every stone and clump the rear wheel throws. Accossato's AGPP80 rear pad in the Off-road sintered mixture, code STMX, is listed for the 250 SX-F from 2005 to 2026 and is the firm's compound for off-road riders. It suits racers and dedicated practice riders on sandy or muddy tracks, who want a rear brake built for dirt and who spend time on bike cleaning after every session.
Key Features
- Rear pads AGPP80 for the KTM 250 SX-F, model years 2005 to 2026
- STMX mixture, article AGPP80STMX
- Designed by Accossato for off-road use
- Made to deal with sand, stones and mud in the rear caliper
- Standard AGPP80 plate, no modification
- Also offered as OR and ST
- For competition; no German ABE in our files
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato presents STMX as the compound meant for off-road riders. Its lining is bonded to the standard AGPP80 plate. Across its range the Italian brand also stresses long service life, limited heat build-up and strong stopping power, qualities that fit a rear brake used hard through an entire moto.
Whoops, Ruts and Stones
The rear end of a motocross bike moves constantly: through whoops, over braking bumps, in and out of ruts. The rear caliper is exposed to all of that, along with stones flicked up by the tyre. Pads meant for off-road use are designed to cope with this abuse and the dirt that comes with it. For the rider, the result should be a pedal that still does its job at the end of a rough moto.
After riding, rinse the rear brake area and check the disc for damage from stones. Before a race weekend, look at the lining thickness, and clean the piston before pushing it back when fitting new pads.
Fitment and Compatibility
We list AGPP80 for the rear brake of the KTM 250 SX-F from 2005 to 2026; the Accossato catalogue shows the SX-F 250 from 2003. The front partner is AGPA29, and Accossato also lists discs DK017, DK018 and DK259 for this bike. Hold the old and new pads together to confirm the shape.
Road Approval
We hold no ABE or German test certificate for AGPP80STMX, which is supplied for off-road motorsport.
