DescriptionThe whole story▼
The rear caliper of a Kawasaki KX450X sits right in the spray of the rear tyre, collecting sand, mud and stones on every lap. Accossato's AGPP106 rear pad in the Off-road sintered mixture fits the KX450X from 2021 to 2024 and is Accossato's dedicated compound for dirt riding. It suits riders who compete in enduro and cross-country events, where the rear brake works in constant grit.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato describes STMX as its compound for off-road riders. For the rear of a KX450X, which is exposed to everything the rear tyre throws up, that means a pad designed to work in a caliper that is rarely clean. Accossato builds its pads to limit heat and fading while stopping reliably. The STMX material sits on the standard AGPP106 plate. Accossato has its roots in off-road sport and won an Enduro world title in 1985.
Enduro Weekends and Rear Brake Care
An enduro weekend can involve two days of riding, with several special tests each day. The rear brake is used constantly, both to slow the bike and to help it turn. A pad built for off-road conditions helps keep the pedal feel consistent through all of that.
Use service stops to check the rear caliper: clear any mud, look at the pads and make sure the pedal returns fully. After the event, clean the caliper thoroughly, check the disc for wear and replace the pads as a pair if needed. A spare set in the service bag can save a result.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPP106 for the rear of the Kawasaki KX450X from 2021 to 2024. The front pads are AGPA51 for 2021 to 2023 and AGPA29 for 2024. The Accossato disc catalogued for this model is DK060. One box fits the single rear caliper; compare pad outlines first.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or German approval document for AGPP106STMX in our records. It is sold for off-road competition.
