DescriptionThe whole story▼
Accossato's AGPP72 rear pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound fits the Honda CRF450R from 2002 to 2026 and is meant for motocross competitors. On a race weekend the rear brake is used hundreds of times: to square off corners, to set the bike up for jumps and to control speed on steep downhills. The STMX set is for riders who want a compound developed specifically for the dirt, used in sand, mud and dust.

Construction and Material Quality
STMX is the compound Accossato made for off-road riders. The company also claims for its pads a modest temperature rise that limits fading, low wear and strong braking. For a rear brake exposed to abrasive dirt and water on every lap of a motocross race, a mixture conceived for that use makes sense.
A race weekend with the CRF450R
Saturday brings free practice and timed qualifying, Sunday two or three motos. Across those sessions the rear pads of the CRF450R are loaded, heated, soaked and sanded many times. Before qualifying, check pad thickness and make sure the pedal has a little free play. Between motos, look for dirt packed around the caliper. After the weekend, wash the brake gently and inspect the pads before the next event, since a set that looked fine on Saturday can be much thinner by Sunday evening if the track was sandy. Accossato is based today in Villastellone near Turin, and has long supplied parts for off-road racing.
Fitment and Compatibility
AGPP72STMX is listed for the rear of the CRF 450 R from 2002 to 2026 and the CRF 450 R-S from 2022 to 2026. The front caliper takes AGPA51, and discs DK012, DK107 and DK263 are offered for this model. Clean the piston before pushing it back, check the disc surface, and pump the pedal until firm. Bed in the pads during practice before racing the CRF450R.
Road Approval
This set has no approval document or test mark, so it is offered for racing and competition use.
