DescriptionThe whole story▼
At the back of a GasGas MC 450F, the brake pads spend every moto in a cloud of roost. The AGPP80STMX set is Accossato's Off-road sintered (STMX) compound for the rear of this bike, listed from 2021 to 2026. Accossato developed the compound specifically for riders who leave the tarmac behind, which fits a machine made for motocross. It is the rear pad for anyone who races or trains in mud, sand and dust and wants a material intended for that setting.
Key Features
- Rear brake pads for the GasGas MC 450F, 2021 to 2026
- Off-road compound STMX, article number AGPP80STMX
- Accossato's material for riding off the tarmac
- Made for dirty, abrasive conditions
- The same rear pad also comes in OR and ST
- Two pads per box, a set for the rear caliper
- No German ABE; for motocross and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato designs STMX for dirt, and the name says as much. The company has deep roots in off-road sport, with an Enduro world title in 1985, and this compound comes from that background. The rear pads copy the outline of the originals, so fitting them to the MC 450F is a straight swap.
After the Sand Track
The rear brake of a motocross bike gets more dirt than the front. The rear tyre throws sand and stones against the caliper, the chain carries grit past it, and water from ruts lands there first. A compound developed for off-road riding is made to cope with that kind of use.
Maintenance after a sand race is simple but important. Rinse the rear caliper carefully, without aiming a pressure washer straight into the seals, then check that the pads move freely. Look at the remaining pad thickness, because sand wears pads faster than clay or hard-pack. A pedal that suddenly feels long can mean worn pads or air in the system, so check both.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues AGPP80 for the MC 450 F built between 2021 and 2026. The front uses AGPA29, which is listed for the same period. There is a single caliper at the rear, and one box renews it. After fitting, press the pedal several times until firm and bed the pads in with a few gentle stops.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or approval document for this rear pad set. It is supplied for racing and competition, the only use of an MC 450F.
Scope of Delivery
One box with two STMX rear brake pads, a complete set for one caliper.
