DescriptionThe whole story▼
Forest tracks churned into slurry, sandy firebreaks and streams at the bottom of every valley: that is where many Yamaha YZ250FX riders spend their weekends. For the 2015 to 2021 models, Accossato offers the AGPA110 front pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound, the material it describes as its compound for off-road riders. It is the natural pick for enduro-style events and cross-country races in poor conditions.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Yamaha YZ250FX, 2015 to 2021
- AGPA110 shape in Accossato's STMX material, code AGPA110STMX
- Accossato's dedicated compound for off-road riding
- Made for mud, sand, dust and stream crossings
- Two pads per box for the front caliper
- OR and ST fillings are listed for the same pad
- No German ABE available; for off-road competition
Construction and Material Quality
The STMX is the friction material Accossato makes for riders who leave the road behind. The manufacturer describes it only by that purpose, and it shares the general design aims of the range: long service life, restrained heat build-up to avoid fade, and strong stopping power. For a YZ250FX ridden in the worst conditions, that is a practical choice. Two pads come in each box, the set for a single caliper.
Enduro Days and Water Crossings
On an enduro-style loop, the front brake of a YZ250FX may be submerged in a stream, dragged through a bog and then asked to stop the bike on a slippery descent. Contaminated, wet pads are normal in that setting. An off-road compound is meant to cope with it. What it cannot do is clean itself, so after the event rinse the caliper thoroughly, let it dry and check that the pads move freely in the caliper.
Which Version for Which Rider
If your YZ250FX mainly sees dry forest trails, the ST version is the all-season alternative, and the OR suits gentle trail riding. STMX is for riders who expect mud, sand and water as a matter of course.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA110 for the front of the Yamaha YZ250FX from 2015 to 2021. For the 2025 model the listing moves to the AGPA288, and 2022 to 2024 are not covered. The rear pad for the 2015 to 2021 YZ250FX is the AGPP106. DK168 and DK268 are the Accossato discs listed for this bike.
Road Approval
There is no test certificate or German ABE on file for this item. It is supplied for off-road competition and private ground.
