DescriptionThe whole story▼
An enduro-style loop through the woods, a sand track on the coast or a waterlogged motocross circuit in March: the latest Yamaha YZ250F, from 2020 to 2026, goes to all of them. For its front caliper Accossato offers the AGPA288 in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound, the material the company reserves for off-road riders. The anniversary edition of 2026 is covered too. It is the choice for owners whose bike comes home dirty far more often than clean.
Key Features
- Front pads for the Yamaha YZ250F from 2020 to 2026
- Covers the 2026 YZ 250 F 70th anniversary edition, according to Accossato
- AGPA288 shape in the STMX off-road compound, article AGPA288STMX
- Accossato's dedicated material for off-road riding
- Two pads per box: one set for the single front caliper
- Also offered in ST for this fitment
- No German ABE available; for competition and off-road use
Construction and Material Quality
The STMX is Accossato's specialised off-road material, and in the AGPA288 it serves the current generation of the YZ250F. The company's statement is brief: it is the compound for riders who leave the tarmac. Everything else follows from that role, with resistance to contamination and abrasion, a long service life and limited fade even when the brake is used constantly on a long descent. Each box holds two pads for one caliper.
Muddy Tracks and River Crossings
When a YZ250F drops into a water splash, the front disc comes out soaked and coated in silt. The next corner still needs a working brake. That is the situation for which an off-road compound is made, and it is also why post-ride care matters: flush the caliper with water after a muddy day, let it dry, and check that the pads slide freely. On sandy ground, grit will polish the rotor over time, so measure the disc thickness regularly. Riders who stay on dry, prepared tracks may prefer the ST version of this pad.
Changing Pads in the Paddock
Clean the caliper before opening it, push the pistons back only after wiping them, and check the fluid reservoir. Fit the new pads, pump the lever until firm and give them a few controlled stops before the next session.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the AGPA288 for the front of the Yamaha YZ250F from 2020 to 2026, including the 70th anniversary model. Bikes up to 2020 take the AGPA110; for a 2020 machine, compare with the fitted pad. The rear uses the AGPP106 from 2003 to 2026. The DK111, DK168, DK268 and DK269 discs are Accossato's rotor options for this YZ250F.
Road Approval
There are no test documents or German ABE for this item in our possession. It is supplied for use in competition and off public roads.
