STMX front pads for the KTM 500EXC-F, 2012 to 2024. STMX is Accossato's Off-road sintered compound, which the Turin-area brand describes as its mix for off-road riders. The 500EXC-F is a proper enduro weapon, and in competition its front brake has to cope with hours of rocky special tests, muddy transfer sections and river beds. This version is aimed at riders who enter enduros, extreme events or multi-day rallies on the 500 and want a front pad designed for dirt rather than for the road.

Construction and Material Quality
STMX was developed by Accossato for riding off the road, and that is the only claim the company makes for it. Around that, the usual qualities of its pads apply: slow wear, strong braking and limited heat build-up. On the 500EXC-F the friction material is bonded to a steel back shaped for the KTM front caliper, so it seats cleanly even after the caliper has been packed with dirt and rinsed out again.
An Enduro Day on the 500
An enduro day begins with a cold transfer section, runs through special tests on stones and roots, and ends with a timed stage that is often the dirtiest of all. The front pads on a 500EXC-F get soaked, clogged and heated several times over. STMX is made for that. If most of your riding is on green lanes, OR gives a gentler bite; ST is the choice for mixed use with plenty of tarmac.
Servicing Between Events
Pull the pads after a muddy race, brush the caliper clean and check the pistons for dirt before pushing them back. Check the fluid for moisture too.
Fitment and Compatibility
Fits the front brake of the KTM 500EXC-F from 2012 to 2024, as listed by Accossato for the EXC-F 500 (2012-2024). The single front caliper takes one box. For the rear, Accossato lists pad AGPP80 for this bike, and its DK017, DK018 and DK259 discs are also catalogued for the 500EXC-F.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or test documentation on our side for this pad; we supply it for competition and racing use.
