Hard enduro on a KTM 300 EXC means boulder fields, river beds and mud that swallows the front wheel to the hub. For that kind of riding Accossato makes the AGPA29 front pad in its Off-road sintered mixture, code STMX, listed for the 300 EXC from 1993 to 2014 and 2018 to 2023. It is the firm's compound for off-road riders and suits enduro racers, extreme-enduro enthusiasts and anyone whose bike regularly wades through water or climbs rocky gullies.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato defines STMX as the compound for off-road riders, and it is fitted to the standard AGPA29 plate. The brand, which won the Enduro World Championship title in 1985, also claims long service, reduced fading and strong braking for its pads. On a 300 EXC ridden hard in rough terrain, that combination is what an enduro rider looks for.
River Beds and Rock Gardens
Crossing a river on an enduro bike soaks the front brake and fills it with fine sediment. Minutes later, the rider may be picking a line down a rocky gully, where a controlled front brake is essential. A compound developed for off-road conditions keeps working in that wet, gritty environment. It suits the stop-start rhythm of hard enduro, where the brakes are used constantly at low speed.
After a rough day, clean the caliper and look for stones jammed between pad and disc. Check the lining before each event, and clean the pistons before pressing them back for fresh pads. Pump the lever until pressure returns.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA29 for the EXC 300 from 1993 to 2014, the EXC 300 Enduro from 1999 to 2008 and the EXC 300 TPI from 2018 to 2023. The gap from 2015 to 2017 is covered by a different pad; AGPA211 is listed for 2015 to 2023. For the rear, AGPP80 and AGPP210 are offered, along with discs DK017, DK018 and DK259. The bike has one front caliper.
Road Approval
We do not have an ABE or German test mark for AGPA29STMX. The pads are for off-road competition.
