DescriptionThe whole story▼
Dusty summer trails, clay after rain and sand at coastal venues all wear a front pad quickly. For the Kawasaki KX450X from 2021 to 2023, Accossato offers the AGPA51 front pad in the Off-road sintered mixture, the company's dedicated compound for dirt riding. It is aimed at KX450X owners who race or ride hard off-road and want a pad built for the grit their bike encounters.

Construction and Material Quality
STMX is, in Accossato's words, its compound for off-road riders. On a KX450X of this generation, a bike designed from the outset for long cross-country races and varied terrain, the pad has to cope with dust, mud and sand in the same ride. Accossato designs its pads to control temperatures and limit fade while stopping reliably. The STMX material is bonded to the regular AGPA51 plate. Accossato was founded in 1969 in Moncalieri, near Turin.
Dust and Grit on Summer Trails
Dry summer trails produce fine dust that settles on the disc and works its way into the caliper. Over a long day, that dust acts like an abrasive and can cause uneven pad wear. The STMX compound is designed for those conditions, giving the KX450X rider a reliable front brake through the day.
When you get home, blow the dust out of the caliper, check the pads for uneven wear and look at the disc surface. If the lever feels spongy, check the fluid level and bleed the brake if needed. Riders who spend several consecutive days on dry trails, for example during a riding holiday, should pack a spare set of pads and the tools to fit them, since dust can shorten pad life noticeably.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA51 for the front of the KX450X from 2021 to 2023; the 2024 bike takes AGPA29. For the rear, AGPP106 covers 2021 to 2024, and the Accossato disc for this Kawasaki is DK060. One box covers one caliper; compare old and new pads before fitting.
Road Approval
AGPA51STMX has no ABE or German approval document in our possession. It is sold for off-road competition.
