When the gate drops, a Husqvarna FC 450 reaches the first corner faster than almost anything else on the line, and the front brake has to haul it down in a crowd of bikes spraying dirt. Accossato's AGPA29 front pad in the Off-road sintered (STMX) compound is designed for that world. Catalogued for the FC 450 from 2014 to 2026, it is the compound Accossato names for off-road riders. It is intended for racers who line up regularly and want a front pad chosen for dirt, from the start straight to the chequered flag.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato developed STMX for off-road riding and keeps its description to that one purpose. It uses the same AGPA29 plate as the OR, ST and EV1 articles, but is selected for motocross conditions where dirt and water constantly reach the brake. The company's general claims for its pads are low wear, reduced fade through controlled heat and strong stopping performance, all of which get a thorough test at the front of a big-bore racer.
First Corner, Full Roost
The start of a motocross race is the most chaotic moment for any brake. Twenty or thirty bikes brake together for the first turn, throwing roost and dust in all directions. The front disc of an FC 450 takes a coating of dirt before the rider has even picked a line. A dedicated off-road pad is built for that. Through the race, puddles and ruts keep testing it. Afterwards, the maintenance matters as much as the pad: wash the caliper carefully, look for mud packed behind the pads and clean the pistons before retracting them. Pump the lever until firm after any pad change.
Fitment and Compatibility
This pad is catalogued by Accossato for the front of the Husqvarna FC 450 across all years from 2014 to 2026. The brand's rear pad for the bike is the AGPP80, and it also lists the DK017 and DK018 discs. Alternatives on the same plate are OR, ST and EV1. The FC 450 uses one front caliper, so one box covers it.

We have not received any ABE or test mark for this article. It is sold for racing and closed-course off-road riding.
