DescriptionThe whole story▼
Race day on a Honda CRF250R means a gate drop, a crowded first corner and fifteen or twenty minutes of ruts, jumps and braking bumps. For the front of the CRF250R, which Accossato lists from 2004 to 2026, the AGPA51 pad is available in the Off-road sintered mixture, also known as STMX. Accossato designs it specifically for off-road riders, making it the natural choice for motocross racers who spend their weekends in sand, mud and dust.
Key Features
- Front brake pads for the Honda CRF250R, 2004 to 2026
- Article AGPA51STMX, STMX mixture on the AGPA51 backing
- Accossato's dedicated off-road mixture
- Built for sand, mud, dust and race day
- Fits the single front caliper
- Other versions: OR, ST and EV1
- Accossato was founded in Moncalieri in 1969
- No ABE documented; for competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato keeps its explanation brief: the STMX is the mixture for riders off the road. On a motocross bike that brief statement covers a lot of ground, from the abrasive sand of a coastal track to the clinging mud of a spring race. Accossato also applies its general promises of long life, restrained heat and consistent performance. The pad sits on the same AGPA51 backing as the other versions.
From the Gate to the Wash Bay
In a motocross race, the first corner is decided under braking. With a pack of riders around you, the front brake has to respond firmly and predictably while the bike is still bouncing over the start straight. Later in the race, braking bumps and ruts make every stop a balancing act.
Once the chequered flag falls, the work continues in the paddock. Wash the caliper carefully, check that sand has not packed between the pads, and look at their thickness before the next race. Replace worn pads early: clean the pistons, push them back gently, fit the new pads and pump the lever until it is firm.
Fitment and Compatibility
The AGPA51 is Accossato's front pad for the CRF250R across 2004 to 2026. At the rear, the AGPP72 is listed, together with the discs DK012, DK107 and DK263. OR, ST and EV1 fit the same caliper. Compare your old pads with the new ones before fitting.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or German approval for the AGPA51STMX. The set is sold for competition, as is the CRF250R itself.
Scope of Delivery
