DescriptionThe whole story▼
The natural anodised version of Accossato's Ready To Brake radial master cylinder leaves the Shark Design aluminium body uncoloured and pairs it with a long folding lever finished in gold rather than black. Unlike its black anodised and nickel-plated siblings, this version is supplied with a matching M8 fluid reservoir kit, so the unit arrives ready to plumb in rather than needing a reservoir sourced separately. The 16 mm piston and PRS 17-18-19 mm adjustable pivot distance carry over unchanged from the rest of the range.
Key Features
- 16 mm piston diameter, suitable for single-disc braking systems
- PRS pivot distance adjustable between 17, 18 and 19 mm with no extra tool needed
- Natural anodised aluminium body in Accossato's Shark Design
- Long folding lever finished in gold, with a lightening eyelet (RST)
- Matching M8 fluid reservoir kit included
- Offset riser with a quick-release jumper that also reduces master cylinder movement
- Integrated micro-switch for the brake light, built in without adding weight
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
Construction and Material Quality
This master cylinder shares the Shark Design body and the engineering behind it with the black anodised and nickel-plated versions, but it is left in its natural anodised state, showing the aluminium rather than a plated or painted surface. The off-set riser carries the same quick-release jumper used across the range to speed up servicing and reduce movement of the unit under braking, and the fastenings, stainless steel screws, zinc-plated bleed valve and Formula 1 compound seals, are to the same specification as every other finish. The integrated micro-switch for the brake light is built in here as well, without adding noticeable weight to the unit.
What Makes This Version Different: Lever and Reservoir
Where the black anodised body offers seven lever colours and the nickel-plated version comes only in black, this natural-finish unit is fitted with a long folding lever in gold, matched to a reservoir kit threaded M8 that ships together with the master cylinder. That reservoir is the clearest practical difference from its siblings, which both leave the fluid reservoir out of the box; here it is bundled in, reducing the parts a rider has to source separately when fitting this piston-and-pivot combination. The 16 mm piston, rated for single-disc braking, and the PRS adjustment between 17, 18 and 19 mm work exactly as they do on the black anodised and nickel-plated versions of this master cylinder.
Fitment and Compatibility
This gold-levered natural finish matches 54 machines spread across BMW, Honda, Kawasaki, Suzuki, Aprilia and Ducati, with the BMW R1250GS ADVENTURE, Honda NT1100, Kawasaki VULCAN S, Suzuki DL1000 V-STROM and BMW S1000 XR as a few of the names on the list. Every model year sits in the Fitment tab on this page for checking against your own machine. Riders after a different look will find the same Ready To Brake body separately in black anodised or nickel-plated finish.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
