DescriptionThe whole story▼
The CY022 is Accossato's PRS version of its 19 mm radial brake master cylinder, where the lever pivot can be set to 17, 18 or 19 mm instead of staying fixed, and this listing covers the natural anodised body. The 19 mm piston keeps the dual-disc sizing of the rest of the range, while the three pivot settings let a rider pick a shorter or longer lever stroke to suit the way the bike is being used on a given day, from a track session to ordinary road riding. A black folding lever is fitted as standard.
Key Features
- 19 mm piston diameter for dual-disc front brake systems
- PRS pivot distance, adjustable between 17, 18 and 19 mm
- Folding lever in black
- Natural anodised aluminium body, left in its machined finish
- CNC-machined, fully made in Italy
- Offset riser that limits body flex under hard braking
- Stainless steel mounting screws and a zinc-plated bleed valve
- Seals in Formula 1 compound material
Construction and Material Quality
This body is CNC-machined from aluminium and left natural anodised, so the surface stays close to how it comes off the machine rather than being plated or painted afterwards. The three pivot positions are built into the lever mount itself rather than needing a separate part, and everything downstream of that, the stainless mounting screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals, is specified the same way across the Accossato range. An offset riser resists the body flexing under a hard stop, and the bore is shaped to shorten the lever's passive travel by more than half against an ordinary radial unit.
Three Pivot Settings in One Lever
Rather than committing to one fixed geometry, the CY022 lets the pivot move between 17, 18 and 19 mm, so the same lever can be set up softer for a wet road or sharper for a dry track day without buying a second master cylinder. On this natural-finish unit the long lever is fitted with a relieving eyelet (RST) and the short lever without one (NRST), a detail worth checking if the eyelet matters to how the lever sits under two fingers. The three pivot positions are machined into the same lever, so no extra part is needed to move between 17, 18 and 19 mm.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's data confirms 84 motorcycles for the CY022, a wider list than the fixed-pivot 19x18 unit, spanning the Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 family, Ducati's Multistrada V4 and Panigale V4 ranges, the BMW S1000RR, Kawasaki Z900RS and Suzuki GSX-S1000GT among many others. The Fitment tab on this page carries the full list with model years. The same PRS cylinder is also sold as a separate product with a nickel-plated body for a brighter look.
Road Approval
This master cylinder is not supplied with German road-approval documentation; it is intended for track and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
Supplied is the Accossato PRS 19x17-18-19 radial brake master cylinder with the folding lever in black, long with a relieving eyelet (RST) or short without one (NRST), in the natural anodised body finish. Stainless steel screws, the zinc-plated bleed valve and the Formula 1 compound seals are fitted to the unit. The brake light switch (ID001 or ID002) and the fluid reservoir are not included and are bought separately.
