DescriptionThe whole story▼
Where the 1000 RR takes MC004, the smaller CBR 600 RR takes its own mirror block-off cover under the code MC003, built to the same standard: CNC-machined aluminium, anodised to order, made to thread into the fairing's mirror mount once the stock mirror is removed. On a middleweight supersport prepared for track use, tidying up the mirror mounts is one of the smaller jobs that still makes the bike look properly prepared rather than half finished.
Key Features
- Mirror block-off covers for the Honda CBR 600 RR, 2004-2016
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised finish
- Sold as a pair, one cover per mirror mount
- Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Compatible with other motorcycles sharing the same mount
- SA005, SC005, ST002 and ST008 are also listed for this CBR 600 RR
- No German ABE on file; offered for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Each cover is machined from a block of aluminium on CNC equipment and anodised afterwards, available in seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium and gold. The process is identical to every other mirror cover Accossato makes, so fit and finish on a CBR 600 RR match what the same part delivers on any other motorcycle using the same mount, right down to the thread that locates it in place. The covers thread into the existing mirror mount, so no extra drilling or fitting beyond removing the mirror itself is needed.
A Cockpit Detail Seen on Every Ride
Once the mirrors are off a CBR 600 RR for track use, the cover sits close to where the rider's hands rest on the clip-ons, making it one of the few anodised parts actually seen while riding rather than only when the bike is parked up. Choosing a colour that ties in with the rest of the bike's anodised fittings, the steering stem nut especially, turns a part that exists mainly to close a hole into a small, deliberate detail that is easy to overlook when ordering but noticeable once it is on the bike.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this pair for the CBR 600 RR built across 2004 to 2016. Steering stem nuts SA005 and SC005, and swingarm bobbins ST002 and ST008, are also listed for this CBR 600 RR.
Road Approval
No test or approval documents, including an ABE, sit in our files for these covers, so they are offered for racing and competition use.
