The Accossato ZY045 keeps the same 16 mm single-disc piston as the ZY044 but moves its distance out to 18 mm, the setting Accossato lists for track riding and also recommends for the street; the painted PZ004 caliper pair, at the familiar 108 mm centre distance, rounds out the kit as it does across the rest of the range. The lever is again the black Revolution type, adjustable through its inserts, and the calipers come with sintered pads already fitted.

Construction and Material Quality
The CY045 shares its 16 mm piston with the ZY044, keeping it to single-disc brake systems, but its 18 mm distance moves it away from that kit's softest setting toward the firmer feel Accossato lists for track riding, while still recommending it for street use. The forged, painted body, the anti-flex off-set riser, stainless-steel screws, zinced bleeding valve and Formula 1 compound seals match the rest of the painted range, and the PZ004 calipers keep their forged-monoblock, five-axis-machined, hard-oxidation-anodised construction.
A Firmer Single-Disc Pairing Than the ZY044
Where the ZY044's 16 mm distance gives the lightest lever feel in Accossato's single-disc painted range, the ZY045's 18 mm distance firms that up for track use without losing the street-use recommendation that also applies to the dual-disc ZY042. As with the rest of the range, the stop light switch and the fluid reservoir are both left out of the box and sold under separate codes, ID001 or ID002 for the switch, with the reservoir chosen from among Accossato's several models.
Fitment and Compatibility
As with its painted siblings, the ZY045 is not tied to specific motorcycle models in our garage and is sold as a universal kit. Alongside confirming the single front disc its 16 mm piston calls for, the handlebar clamp diameter at the master cylinder and the fork's acceptance of the calipers' 108 mm bracket spacing both need checking before ordering; a qualified workshop should carry out the installation given the brake system involved.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no ABE for the ZY045. Fitting a radial master cylinder and caliper pair in place of the standard components is subject to compulsory registration for road use in Germany, so this should be confirmed with an approval body before the motorcycle goes back on the road. The braking system is safety-relevant, so fitting by a qualified workshop is recommended.
