DescriptionThe whole story▼
The HS052 fits the BMW F800GT with Accossato's hydraulic clutch conversion, swapping the stock cable for a clutch pump with a 13.5 mm piston, a clutch hose and the AT002-54-63 actuator. Made in Italy, the kit is described by Accossato as lightweight and easy to install, built to cut the effort needed at the lever. Accossato recommends fitting through a qualified workshop, with the system filled, bled and its operation checked afterwards; only DOT 4 fluid is specified.
Key Features
- Converts the cable-operated clutch to hydraulic operation
- Clutch pump with a 13.5 mm piston
- Clutch hose included
- AT002-54-63 actuator specific to this application
- Lightweight, made in Italy
- Said by Accossato to reduce lever effort and need little maintenance
- DOT 4 fluid only
Construction and Material Quality
In place of the F800GT's factory cable, the HS052 fits a clutch pump machined to a 13.5 mm piston, connected through a dedicated hose to the AT002-54-63 actuator at the gearbox. Accossato builds the kit in Italy, keeping it light and straightforward to fit rather than adding complexity to the clutch system. The company describes maintenance as minimal once the system is bled and in use, and lists DOT 4 as the only fluid suitable for it.
A Sport-Tourer's High-Mileage Clutch
An F800GT is built for covering distance rather than short runs, and a bike that racks up motorway miles also racks up clutch lever pulls at every junction and every filter through traffic along the way. Where a cable gradually develops slack and inconsistency as it wears, Accossato positions the hydraulic conversion as a way of keeping that pull consistent for longer, since the actuation runs through fluid rather than a stretching cable. For an owner planning to keep the F800GT as a long-distance machine for years rather than trading it in after a season, that consistency is part of the appeal, especially once the bike has covered enough miles for a cable to have started showing its age.
Fitment and Compatibility
This kit is built for the BMW F800GT (2006–2015); Accossato also lists it as compatible with the BMW F800R (2006–2015), the Kawasaki Z1000 (2003–2021) and the Triumph SPEED TRIPLE 1050 (2005–2007, 2011–2015), all sharing the identical clutch pump, hose and AT002-54-63 actuator. Exact production years for each are given in the Fitment tab on this page.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or parts certificate documented by Accossato for the HS052; registration rules depend on the country, so check before road use.
