DescriptionThe whole story▼
Yamaha's Tracer 700 has been sold under more than one designation and in more than one state of tune, and Accossato's list reflects that: entries for 2021 and for 2023 to 2024, including power-restricted versions for riders on a graduated licence. The machine underneath is the same practical middleweight. Accossato gives it the FC124, an aluminium fuel tank cap with a quick-acting closure and a coloured pin that is picked from six shades.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Yamaha Tracer 700
- Accossato lists 2021 and 2023 to 2024, including restricted versions
- Aluminium body, machined on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl for opening and shutting the tank
- Pin colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Pawl available separately as a spare part
- Check which entry matches your machine before ordering
- No German ABE documented; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
There is nothing in this cap but aluminium, machined on CNC equipment, which is what stands behind Accossato's description of it as robust and durable. The design is new. Its quick-closing pawl opens the Tracer 700's tank in one movement and closes it in another, and the pin that sits inside the pawl is the coloured element, selected from six shades when you order. Accossato also lists the pawl as a spare on its own, so a damaged one need not become an argument about replacing the cap.
Restricted Machines on the Same Line
A restricted version is the same motorcycle with its output limited so that it can be ridden on a graduated licence, and manufacturers usually record it as a separate entry in their documentation. That is why an application list can show what looks like several bikes where the owner sees only one. For the buyer it means two things. First, the entry that matches your machine may carry an unfamiliar designation, so read the whole line rather than the model name alone. Second, the years shown here come from those entries and are not a statement about when the Tracer 700 was on sale. If your registration document says something different from what you expect, send us the details and we will match it against the list.
Fitment and Compatibility
The lines behind this listing are the MT-07 700 Tracer GT of 2021 together with the restricted Tracer 7 700 versions of 2023 and 2024. Other Tracer machines have listings of their own. The same FC124 is catalogued at Inter-Pace for the MT-07, the MT-09 and the MT-03. Hold your own details against Accossato's list before you order.
Road Approval
Accossato documents neither a German ABE nor a parts certificate for the FC124, so it is supplied for closed circuits. For public roads the Tracer 700 keeps its standard cap, normally opened with the ignition key.
Scope of Delivery
One Accossato FC124 fuel tank cap with the pin in your preferred colour. The pawl is also sold separately.
