DescriptionThe whole story▼
Yamaha built the Tenere 700 World Raid for riders who go further than a weekend: rally-inspired, made for long days in open country and listed by Accossato from 2022 to 2025. Machines used that way are judged by a different standard from bikes that never leave tarmac. What counts is not how a part looks on the first morning but whether it can be dealt with when something goes wrong far from anywhere. The FC124 is the quick-release fuel tank cap Accossato gives for the World Raid, machined from aluminium.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Yamaha Tenere 700 World Raid, 2022 to 2025
- Aluminium, machined from solid on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl for opening and shutting the tank
- Six colours for the pin: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Pawl available on its own as a spare
- New design from Accossato
- Check the application list before ordering
- No German ABE documented; supplied for closed courses
Construction and Material Quality
The body is solid aluminium taken down on CNC machines, a construction Accossato rates as robust and hard-wearing, and the shape is new. Its quick-closing pawl does away with the alignment a threaded fitting needs, so the World Raid's tank is opened with one movement even with dust on your hands. The pin inside the pawl provides the only choice you make when ordering, with six colours listed. That same pawl is catalogued on its own, which is the part of the specification that matters most a long way from home.
A Long Way From the Nearest Workshop
Riders who plan long routes off tarmac think in terms of what they can put right themselves. The tools are chosen accordingly, the spares are small and light, and anything that cannot be repaired or swapped at the roadside gets looked at twice before it is fitted. A cap whose moving element is available as a separate item fits that way of thinking; a sealed assembly does not. It is the same logic that puts a spare lever and a length of wire in a tail bag. None of it is needed on most trips, and on the one trip where something does break, the difference between an inconvenience and the end of the day is usually a part small enough to have been carried all along.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the Tenere 700 World Raid from 2022 to 2025 as an entry of its own, and that is what this product covers. The other Tenere 700 versions have their own listing. At Inter-Pace the FC124 also appears under the MT-07, the MT-09 and the FJR1300. Please compare your machine with the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
Accossato documents no German ABE and no parts certificate for this cap, so we supply it for closed courses and events. For riding on public roads the World Raid keeps its standard cap, which normally opens with the ignition key.
