DescriptionThe whole story▼
Organised off-road riding has grown into something close to a sport of its own, and the Yamaha Tenere 700 is one of the machines it was built around. Accossato lists the model from 2022 to 2026, together with the Rally, Explore, Extreme, Low and World Rally versions, and offers the FC124 for them: a quick-release fuel tank cap machined from aluminium with the pawl available in six colours. On a route made of tracks rather than roads, fuel is not something you find by chance.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Yamaha Tenere 700, listed 2022 to 2026
- Rally, Explore, Extreme, Low and World Rally versions are listed as well
- Machined from aluminium on CNC equipment
- Quick-closing pawl for opening and closing the tank
- Pin colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, gold
- Pawl available separately if it is damaged
- Compare your version with the application list before ordering
- No German ABE documented; for closed courses
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the FC124 wholly from aluminium on CNC equipment and describes it as robust and durable, with a fresh design. The quick-closing pawl gives the cap its purpose: the Tenere 700's tank opens with one movement and closes with another, which is welcome when you are wearing gloves that have spent the morning on handlebars. The coloured pin is chosen from six shades when the order is placed. Accossato lists the pawl as a spare in its own right, an arrangement that makes particular sense on a machine used away from tarmac.
Refuelling Points on a Marked Route
A day on a marked route is planned around its stops. The organisers name the places where fuel is available, riders note them on a road book or a screen, and the distance between two of them becomes the real limit on the day rather than anybody's stamina. The stops themselves are busy: a queue of machines, riders eating standing up, and a general wish to be moving again. That is where the practical value of a quick closure shows itself, and it is also where care matters most, because a machine that has been ridden hard is warm and the ground underfoot is rarely level. Switch off, let the Tenere 700 settle on firm ground, and take the extra moment.
Fitment and Compatibility
This product covers the entries Accossato writes for the Tenere 700 from 2022 to 2026, including the Rally and World Rally from 2022 and 2023, the Explore and Extreme versions and the Low version of 2025. The World Raid is listed separately. Earlier machines are not named for this cap, so check the year of yours before ordering.
Road Approval
Accossato documents neither a German ABE nor a parts certificate for the FC124, so it is supplied for closed courses and events. On public roads the Tenere 700 should keep its original cap, which normally opens with the ignition key.
Scope of Delivery
One Accossato FC124 fuel tank cap with the pin in the colour you order. The pawl is also available separately as a spare.
