DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Z125 is a light, compact naked bike, and for many young riders it is the first motorcycle they can call their own. Its low weight and small size make it nimble at walking pace, which is exactly the quality moto gymkhana rewards: a timed run through a course of cones on closed tarmac, with more tight turns than any road could offer. For the Z125 of 2021 to 2024, Accossato lists the FC126, an aluminium tank cap with quick release, its pawl pin offered in six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Z125, 2021 to 2024
- CNC-machined aluminium from end to end
- Robust and durable according to Accossato
- Quick-closing pawl for quick refuelling
- Pin in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Pawl can be replaced on its own, for example after a fall
- No German ABE documented; for closed courses and circuits
Construction and Material Quality
The FC126 is aluminium from end to end, CNC-machined by Accossato, who describe it as robust and durable. It is a newly designed cap, opened and closed by a quick-closing pawl, so filling the Z125's tank takes very little time. The pin of that pawl comes in six colours, and the choice is made when ordering. If the pawl is damaged, for example after the bike has gone over, it can be replaced separately and the rest of the cap carries on.
A Morning of Gymkhana
Moto gymkhana comes from Japan and has spread to clubs elsewhere, often on a closed car park or a training ground borrowed for the day. Riders take the course one at a time, and the clock decides. A run lasts only a short while, but the pauses in between are long, so fuel goes down slowly and refuelling is rarely urgent. What gymkhana does bring are low-speed falls: at full steering lock, a moment of hesitation is enough for a small bike to topple. After any fall, stand the Z125 up, switch it off and check the tank and cap before anything else. Look for fuel around the FC126, press the cap gently to feel that it is still seated, and check the pawl. If all is dry, the next run can wait a minute while you get your breath back. Organisers usually ask for fuel cans to be kept away from the course and the waiting area, which keeps the refuelling spot calm.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list names the Z 125 for the FC126 with the years 2021 to 2024. With us the same cap is also listed for the Ninja 125, the faired bike with which the Z125 shares much of its layout. Check your model year against the application list before ordering; years outside this range are not part of the entry.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are documented for the FC126, so it is intended for closed courses and circuits. The Z125's own cap normally locks with the ignition key and should be fitted for every ride on the road.
Scope of Delivery
