DescriptionThe whole story▼
Kawasaki added the SE version of the Z H2 for 2021, with electronically managed suspension and uprated front brakes alongside the supercharged engine. It is a bike people photograph. At a circuit, cameras come out in the paddock as often as on the track, from the organiser's photographer to friends with their phones, and the view they capture most often is the one from above. For the Z H2 SE of 2021 to 2025, Accossato lists the FC126, a quick-release tank cap cut from aluminium, with a coloured pin on the pawl that closes it.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Z H2 SE, 2021 to 2025
- Accossato entry: Z 1000 H2 SE
- Entirely CNC-machined aluminium, robust and durable according to Accossato
- New design with a quick-closing pawl
- Pin in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Pawl sold separately as a spare
- No German ABE documented; track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the FC126 entirely from aluminium on CNC equipment and calls it robust and durable. The cap has a new design with crisp, machined surfaces, and it closes with a quick-closing pawl, so the Z H2 SE's tank opens quickly and is shut again just as fast. The pin on the pawl is where the colour goes, and there are six to pick from. A damaged pawl can be replaced on its own, because Accossato sells it separately.
Pictures From the Paddock
Look through a set of track-day photos and you will notice how often a bike appears from a high angle: parked under the awning, standing between sessions, in the background of a group picture. From there the tank top is one of the most visible surfaces, and the filler cap sits at its centre. A clean, machined cap photographs well, and the pin colour shows even in small pictures, so it is worth choosing with the whole bike in mind rather than on its own. For good pictures, wipe the tank after every refuel, since fuel drops turn into dull patches in bright light, and park the Z H2 SE away from the busiest paths through the paddock, where people and equipment brush past. The photographer's track shots will show the bike leaned over at speed, but it is the paddock pictures that show the details, and those are where the FC126 is seen.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the Z 1000 H2 SE for the FC126 with model years 2021 to 2025, which we list as the Z H2 SE. The standard Z H2 has its own entry for the same cap. With us the FC126 is also catalogued for the Ninja H2 SX and the Ninja 1000 SX. Check the details of your SE against Accossato's list before ordering.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are documented for the FC126, and it is sold for the track. The Z H2 SE comes with a factory cap that normally locks; keep it on the bike for road riding.
