DescriptionThe whole story▼
When Kawasaki presented the Ninja H2 for 2015, it put a supercharged four-cylinder engine into a road bike and gave the machine the River Mark, an emblem its parent company reserves for products of special significance. Speed is part of the H2's identity, and some owners look for places where it can be explored away from public roads, such as speed events on disused airfields. Accossato lists the FC113 for the Ninja H2 of 2015 to 2024: a quick-release fuel tank cap machined from aluminium, with a pawl whose pin comes in six colours.
Key Features
- Quick-release fuel tank cap for the Kawasaki Ninja H2, 2015 to 2024
- Also listed for the version with composite upper cowl, 2017 to 2021
- CNC-machined aluminium body
- Quick-closing pawl
- Pin in silver, gold, green, blue, black or red
- Pawl sold separately as a spare
- No German ABE on record; for closed courses
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the FC113 from aluminium on CNC equipment, the whole body in that material, and says the cap is robust and durable; it calls the design new and attractive. On the Ninja H2 the quick-closing pawl opens the filler quickly and closes it again as fast. Its pin is available in six colours, and silver is an obvious partner for the H2's mirror-coated paint. If the pawl is damaged, Accossato sells it separately.
Speed Runs on an Airfield
Straight-line speed events on old airfields give riders a closed runway, timing equipment and marshals, and a Ninja H2 is exactly the kind of bike that turns up. The format is simple: sign on, pass scrutineering, queue, make a run, return along the access road and repeat. Scrutineers pay close attention to leaks and loose parts, and at high speed a filler cap that is not fully closed is something nobody wants to discover. Before each run, check the FC113: pawl shut, cap seated evenly, no damp around the edge. Refuel only in the paddock area, never in the queue for the start, with the engine off and the bike upright. A supercharged engine gets hot over a day of repeated full-throttle runs, so give the H2 a few minutes before opening the tank, and keep the spout of the can well clear of hot parts. Take any spill off the tank at once; a damp patch where your chest rests behind the screen is the last thing you want on a run that ends at very high speed.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two entries on Accossato's list point to the FC113 for this bike: the Ninja H2 of 2015 to 2024 and, for 2017 to 2021, the version with the composite upper cowl. We also offer the cap for the track-only H2R and for the H2 SX of 2018 to 2020. Before you order, make sure your H2's model year appears on the application list.
Road Approval
No German ABE and no parts certificate are documented for the FC113, so it belongs on circuits and closed runways. On public roads the Ninja H2 keeps its factory cap, which as a rule locks with the ignition key.
