DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Aprilia Tuono V4 1100 Factory has always been the Tuono for riders who take the naked V4 seriously on track, with the most highly specified chassis of the range. Its owners go to circuits in every season, and in much of Europe that means rain sooner or later. A wet track day teaches patience and a feel for grip, and it also changes the small routines in the paddock, refuelling included. The FC102 from Accossato, a quick-release tank cap CNC-machined from aluminium with a pawl colour of your choosing, is listed for this Tuono.

Construction and Material Quality
Accossato makes the FC102 wholly from CNC-machined aluminium and describes it as robust and durable, with a design that is new. For the Tuono V4 1100 Factory, the relevant detail on a wet day is the quick-closing pawl: it opens the tank quickly and closes it again quickly, so the filler is exposed for as short a time as possible. The pawl comes in six colours. If it suffers damage, Accossato sells it as a separate part.
When the Paddock Is Wet
Water and fuel should never meet. On a wet day, rain collects around the filler, runs off the rider's suit and drips from the awning, and every time the cap is opened some of it can get in. Before you open the FC102, dry the area around it with a clean cloth. If possible, refuel under cover, in the garage or at least beneath the awning, and keep the jerry can closed until the moment you pour. A funnel with a fine mesh catches grit that the rain has washed onto the tank. Once the cap is shut, check that it sits evenly, because a seal that has not seated properly can let water in during the next session. After the day, dry the cap and pawl before the Tuono goes into the van; a quick-release mechanism fares better when it is not put away wet and gritty. Back at home, open the cap once and check the neck for moisture.
Fitment and Compatibility
Four versions are named: the Tuono V4 1100 Factory from 2015 to 2017, the Factory Superpole from 2019 to 2024, the Factory SE SBK with ABS of 2024 and the Factory Plus of 2025 and 2026. The year 2018 is not included under this name. At Inter-Pace the FC102 is also listed for the RSV4 Factory and the RSV4 1100. Match your bike with the application list before placing an order.
Road Approval
The FC102 has no German ABE and no documented parts certificate; it is a track part. The original cap on the Tuono V4 1100 Factory normally opens with the ignition key and should stay on a bike used on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
One FC102 cap with the pawl colour you choose; replacement pawls are sold on their own.
