DescriptionThe whole story▼
Yamaha's YZ250F brought the four-stroke format to the quarter-litre motocross class, and its cockpit carries much of the same hardware the two-stroke YZ250 uses, including this front brake reservoir cover. Accossato lists it for the YZ250F built between 2007 and 2017, in blue.
Key Features
- Front brake reservoir cover for the Yamaha YZ250F, 2007 to 2017
- Accossato code ABK02, fitted over the front brake fluid reservoir
- Replaces a scratched, cracked or faded original cover
- Available in blue
- Same part also listed for the Yamaha YZ125, YZ250 and YZ450F
- Accossato lists a crankcase plug, two rear covers, an oil filter cover and an oil filler plug for this bike too
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
This cover is shaped to the YZ250F's own front brake reservoir, so it sits exactly where the factory cover did. Blue is the only finish sold under this code, matching the bike's own colour rather than offering a contrast. A cover that has cracked in a fall, or faded badly against newer plastics, is a quick, inexpensive thing to put right.
One of Several Small Covers Worth Checking Together
Because Accossato lists so many small parts for the YZ250F, a crankcase plug, two rear covers, an oil filter cover and an oil filler plug besides this front one, it is worth going through the whole bike in one pass rather than replacing covers one at a time as each happens to crack. A single order covering everything that needs renewing saves on both time and the hassle of multiple smaller purchases.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the YZ250F built between 2007 and 2017 on this cover's own application list. The identical cover also fits the Yamaha YZ125, YZ250 and YZ450F. For the rest of the YZ250F's engine and cockpit covers, Accossato lists KEP11, PBH01, PBK01, TFY02 and TOR01.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for this cover, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition riding rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
