DescriptionThe whole story▼
Yamaha's YZ125 has been a mainstay of two-stroke motocross for decades, and its front brake reservoir cover takes a knock every time the bike goes down on the start or in a corner. Accossato lists a blue front brake reservoir cover for the YZ125 built between 2008 and 2017, a direct replacement for the original.
Key Features
- Front brake reservoir cover for the Yamaha YZ125, 2008 to 2017
- Accossato code ABK02, fitted over the front brake fluid reservoir
- Replaces a scratched, cracked or faded original cover
- Available in blue
- Same part also listed for the Yamaha YZ250, YZ250F and YZ450F
- Accossato also lists two rear brake reservoir covers and an oil filler plug for this bike
- No German ABE on file; built for off-road and competition riding
Construction and Material Quality
Yamaha's own front brake reservoir shape on the YZ125 is what this cover is made to match, clipping into position exactly as the original always did. There is no colour decision to make here, since Accossato only offers this code in blue, which happens to be the shade the YZ125 was fitted with from the factory. A tip-over that leaves this cover cracked, or a long spell in the sun that leaves it visibly faded next to newer plastics, is reason enough to swap it for a fresh one.
A Two-Stroke Still Being Raced Decades On
Plenty of YZ125s on the track today are considerably older than the riders racing them, kept going through exactly this kind of ongoing small-parts replacement rather than any wholesale rebuild. A reservoir cover in good condition goes some way to making an older bike look properly maintained rather than merely functional, which matters to riders who take real pride in keeping a two-stroke classic competitive.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato names the YZ125 built between 2008 and 2017 on this cover's own application list. The identical cover also fits the Yamaha YZ250, YZ250F and YZ450F. For the rear of the YZ125, Accossato lists two separate rear brake reservoir covers, PBH01 and PBK01, each in a different set of colours, along with an oil filler plug, TOR01.
Road Approval
No German ABE is on file for this cover, so Accossato lists it for off-road and competition riding rather than for use on public roads.
Scope of Delivery
This listing covers one front brake reservoir cover, in blue.
