DescriptionThe whole story▼
The XSR700's retro-inspired dashboard and round headlight draw plenty of attention from riders browsing the bike at a dealership, and the front brake reservoir sitting on the bars is close enough to that focal point to matter just as much. Accossato's TS011, CNC-machined aluminium anodised in seven colours, replaces it, pairing with the FP006 oil filler and TS013 rear brake fluid reservoir caps also listed for this XSR700.
Key Features
- Front brake fluid reservoir cap for the Yamaha XSR700, 2016 to 2018
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised in the colour itself
- Seven colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, gold
- FP006 oil filler and TS013 rear brake fluid reservoir caps also listed for this XSR700
- Fits the original reservoir, once the application list is checked
- Also listed for several other current Yamaha naked and touring models
- Suits the bike's retro-styled cockpit and dashboard
- No German ABE on file; intended for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato cuts the TS011 from aluminium on CNC equipment, finishing it with anodising that leaves the colour inside the metal's own surface. No dimension beyond the reservoir list appears in the maker's own description, so the XSR700's model year is what actually settles fitment. Black fits a bike kept close to its retro-inspired factory finish, while blue, green, orange, red, silver or gold complement the classic styling with a modern touch.
A Detail Near the Retro Dashboard
Because the XSR700's styling draws the eye toward the bars and the round dials sitting above them, a worn or faded reservoir cap stands out more here than it would on a bike with a busier cockpit to distract from it. Start by turning the bars so the reservoir sits level, then keep the surrounding paint protected with a rag, since fluid marks it almost the instant it lands. Finish the swap quickly, because the open reservoir keeps pulling moisture from the air for every minute it stays uncovered, and wash away any spill straight under the tap. With the level reading correctly between its marks, bring the new screws down evenly and test the lever firmly at a standstill.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's application sheet runs this TS011 across the 2016 to 2018 XSR700, pairing it with the FJR1300, the MT-09, the SCR950 and the XJR1300, among further current Yamaha models that take the same reservoir. For this XSR700, Accossato also lists the FP006 oil filler cap and the TS013 rear brake fluid reservoir cap.
Road Approval
There is no ABE or type approval on file for the TS011, so we offer it for racing and closed-course riding rather than road use.
