DescriptionThe whole story▼
Triumph built the Daytona 675 from 2007 to 2016 around a three-cylinder engine that set it apart from the four-cylinder sportsbikes it raced against, giving it a distinct character both in sound and in how it delivers power. Accossato's TS005 front brake fluid reservoir cap, CNC-machined aluminium anodised in seven colours, suits the bars of this triple and pairs with the TS013 rear brake cap also listed for it.
Key Features
- Front brake fluid reservoir cap for the Triumph Daytona 675, 2007 to 2016
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised in the colour itself
- Seven colours: blue, black, orange, red, silver, green, gold
- TS013 rear brake fluid reservoir cap also listed for the same Daytona
- Fits the original reservoir, once the application list is checked
- Also listed for several other sportsbikes with the same reservoir
- Suits a triple that stands apart from the usual four-cylinder rivals
- No German ABE on file; built for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Like every Accossato cap of this kind, the TS005 begins as aluminium shaped by CNC machines, picking up its colour afterwards through anodising instead of a coat of paint laid over a plain surface. There is no separate measurement published for it beyond the list of reservoirs the part is said to suit, which puts the weight on checking the Daytona's own model year rather than measuring anything on the bike itself. A rider keeping the triple in its launch colours usually reaches for black, whereas blue, orange, red, silver, green or gold do more to set it apart from the four-cylinder 600s it raced against.
A Triple Among Fours
Because the Daytona 675 took on rivals built around a completely different engine layout, many owners take particular pride in keeping the bike distinct down to its smallest fittings, and the reservoir on the bars is an easy place to carry that through. Level the bars before touching the old cap, since a tilted reservoir loses fluid the instant it opens, and protect the paint close by first, because a splash marks it almost immediately and the open reservoir starts drawing moisture from the air straightaway; any spill wants rinsing with water without delay. Once the level sits correctly between its two marks, turn the new cap's screws down with an even, gentle hand and squeeze the lever hard at a standstill before setting off. The part itself is a cosmetic swap, nothing more, and leaves the fluid's own due date for replacement untouched.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Daytona 675's whole production run, 2007 through to 2016, sits on Accossato's list for the TS005, and the identical reservoir turns up again on the BMW S1000R and S1000RR, the Honda CBR600RR and the Kawasaki Ninja H2, to name a few of the other sportsbikes it suits. A rear brake fluid reservoir cap, the TS013, rounds out Accossato's range for this particular Daytona.
Road Approval
Accossato has supplied no test or approval documents for the TS005, so Inter-Pace lists it for racing and closed-course use rather than the public road.
