DescriptionThe whole story▼
Look through a folder of photographs from any track day and you will notice something: the front brake reservoir is in almost every shot. It sits at the height of the bars, in front of the rider, where the camera looks when the machine is stationary and where it stays when the machine is leaned over. On a Panigale V4 that small tank is therefore a visible part, whether its owner intended it to be or not. Accossato's TS003 caps it in aluminium, machined and anodised in seven colours.
Key Features
- Front brake fluid reservoir cap for the Ducati Panigale V4
- Accossato's application years: 2018 to 2020
- Special version of 2018 and 2019 named in the same list
- Takes the place of the original cap on the standard reservoir
- Aluminium, worked on CNC machines, then anodised
- Seven colours: blue, green, black, orange, red, silver, gold
- FP004, FP007 and TS012 listed for this machine
- No German ABE in our records; for circuit use
Construction and Material Quality
Aluminium is the material, CNC machining the method and anodising the finish, and the seven colours available are blue, green, black, orange, red, silver and gold. The anodised surface is part of the metal, which is why it survives the fingerprints and cleaning that a bar-mounted part collects. Accossato produces the TS003 for the front reservoir Ducati fits to the machines on its list, so the master cylinder and the lines of a Panigale V4 stay exactly as they were built. Underneath the cap that comes off sits the original diaphragm; look it over and renew it if it is stiff, split or no longer sitting true.
In Shot on Every Photograph
If a part is going to be seen, it may as well be in good order behind the scenes too. Prepare the machine before you touch anything: upright on a stand, bars turned until the reservoir lies level, a cloth over the tank and the fairing, water within reach for the splash you hope not to make. Brake fluid does not wait politely on paintwork. Wipe the reservoir top clean before opening it, because dust that falls in at this point has nowhere else to go. With the cap away, read the level, which belongs between the marks, and look at what is in there. A level that has sunk gradually usually reflects pad wear on a Panigale V4, while dark fluid reflects age and calls for a proper change at the interval the owner's manual sets. Keep the opening exposed for as little time as possible so the fluid does not draw in damp air. Fit the TS003, tighten it lightly and evenly, then squeeze the lever repeatedly while the bike stands still, before the photographs and before the first corner.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato catalogues the TS003 for the front reservoir of the Panigale V4 from 2018 to 2020 and names the Special version of 2018 and 2019 in the same entry. The cap replaces the original while the reservoir stays where it is; if the front master cylinder is not the standard unit, compare it with the application list first. The same cap appears in our catalogue for the Hypermotard 939, the Multistrada 1200 S and Aprilia's RSV4. Accossato covers the rest of this bike with the FP004, the FP007 and the TS012.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE and no test mark for the TS003 in our documentation, which is why it is listed for racing and competition use.
