DescriptionThe whole story▼
On a naked bike like the Shiver 750 there is no fairing between the rider and the controls. At every set of lights, the eye drops from the road to the instruments and the handlebar, and the front brake reservoir is right there, on the right-hand side, ride after ride. That makes its cap one of the few parts of the bike you look at more often than any passer-by. Accossato's TS004 is a CNC-machined aluminium cap for the front reservoir, anodised in seven colours and listed for the Shiver 750 of 2007 to 2016.
Key Features
- Front brake fluid reservoir cap for the Aprilia Shiver 750, 2007 to 2016
- For the original front reservoir
- Aluminium, CNC-machined, anodised
- Seven colours: blue, red, silver, gold, green, black, orange
- Coordinates with Accossato's FP001 oil cap and TS013 rear cap
- Check fitment on Accossato's application list
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The TS004 is made of aluminium, cut on CNC machines and then anodised, which is where the colour comes from: blue, red, silver, gold, green, black or orange. Accossato shapes it for the original front reservoir of each listed bike, so on the Shiver 750 the master cylinder and the rest of the brake stay as they are. The seal or diaphragm below the old cap is worth checking while the reservoir is open; renew it if it has lost its shape.
Seen From the Saddle
Because you see it on every ride, choose the colour of the TS004 with some care. A cap that matches nothing else on the Shiver 750 can look like an afterthought, whereas one that picks up the colour of the frame, the wheels or the graphics looks as if it belongs there. If you plan to fit the FP001 oil cap and the TS013 rear cap as well, all three are available in blue, red, silver, gold, green, black and orange. Once the choice is made, fitting takes only a short while. Set the handlebar so that the reservoir sits horizontally, cover the tank and headlight with a cloth, and wipe around the old cap before removing it. Keep the time with the reservoir open short, since brake fluid pulls in moisture from the air, and wash any drop off the paint at once with water. Make sure the level lies between the marks, fasten the new cap gently and check the lever at a standstill before riding off. From then on, the view from the saddle includes a detail you chose yourself.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the front reservoir of the Shiver 750, Accossato's list covers 2007 to 2016. The same cap is also in our catalogue for the Shiver 900 and the Mana 850 GT. Together with the FP001 for the oil filler and the TS013 for the rear reservoir, Accossato offers three caps for this Shiver. Please match your bike against the application list before ordering.
Road Approval
We are not able to present an ABE or test certificate for the TS004; in our shop it is a part for the circuit and for racing.
