DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Street Triple 765 R replaced the 675-engined naked bikes with Triumph's new three-cylinder unit, and its combination of light weight and sharp steering makes it a regular choice for rider training days aimed at road riders rather than racers. These courses often use an empty airfield or disused industrial estate, surfaces that look clean but can hide diesel spills, loose grit left by lorries, or the kind of painted markings that turn slick after rain. Accossato lists the PF03 front axle sliders for the Street Triple 765 R of 2009 to 2018.
Key Features
- Front axle sliders for the Triumph Street Triple 765 R, 2009 to 2018
- Accossato PF03, one protector for each side
- Aluminium and plastic, black finish
- Spacers, screws and remaining mounting parts in the kit, according to Accossato
- Rear axle sliders PP003 also listed for this bike
- Meant to take the first contact in a slide or fall
- Same pair listed for the Daytona 675, the Daytona 675 R and the Speed Triple 1050 R
- No German ABE on file; for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The PF03 combines aluminium and plastic in both of its black protectors, built for the left and right side of the front wheel. Accossato's own description places the spacers, screws and every other part needed for mounting inside the kit. On a training day, where exercises often push a rider's cornering and braking technique past what feels comfortable, the sliders are there to meet the ground first if the Street Triple 765 R slides away underneath its rider, reducing what the fork and axle area take in the process. A slider that has scraped along tarmac or grit should be renewed rather than reused.
An Airfield That Hides More Than It Shows
Disused airfields and industrial estates make convenient training grounds precisely because they are quiet and wide open, but years of heavy vehicle traffic leave behind diesel sheens, oil patches and loose grit that a rider on the Street Triple 765 R may not spot until the front tyre has already lost grip. Faded road markings, left over from the site's working days, can be just as slippery as fresh paint once damp. Instructors usually walk the course beforehand to flag the obvious hazards, but a patch of grit blown across the tarmac by wind can appear between one lap and the next. If the bike does slide on one of these patches, the fall is typically a low-speed one, and the sliders take the first contact; check them, the fork and the levers before continuing the exercise.
Fitment and Compatibility
Our listing for the Street Triple 765 R runs from 2009 to 2018, matching Accossato's own application list. The PP003 sliders cover the rear of the same bike, and the identical front PF03 design is also catalogued in our shop for the Daytona 675, the Daytona 675 R and the Speed Triple 1050 R. If you cannot confirm from the years alone that your Street Triple 765 R is covered, send us the details before ordering and we will check.
Road Approval
As no ABE or test document is available to us for the PF03, it is supplied for racing and competition use.
