DescriptionThe whole story▼
MV Agusta built the Rivale as a crossover, part naked and part adventure tourer, and it never sold in the numbers its more conventional siblings did, which leaves Rivale owners with fewer places to turn when a part gets marked. A low-speed tip-over at a junction or a fuel stop is just as likely on a crossover as on any naked, and the front end usually pays for it first. For the Rivale 800 built between 2013 and 2016, Accossato's PF045 front axle sliders offer a ready substitute for a part that otherwise isn't easy to find.
Key Features
- Front axle sliders for the MV Agusta Rivale 800, 2013 to 2016
- Accossato part PF045, one protector for each side of the front wheel
- Aluminium combined with plastic, finished in black
- Spacers, screws and further mounting parts in the kit, as stated by Accossato
- Meant to touch down first if the bike tips or slides at low speed
- Pairs with the TP026 fairing crash pads for the same Rivale 800
- No other Accossato schutzteil currently listed beyond that pairing
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
The two PF045 sliders share a black finish over a body of aluminium and plastic, one bolted to each side of the front axle on this application. Accossato packs spacers, screws and whatever else it considers necessary for mounting into the kit. This Rivale's own fork and axle dimensions aren't given anywhere in the documentation supplied to us, so no bolt sizes, stud lengths or clearances are assumed anywhere in this particular listing.
A Bike Built in Smaller Numbers
The Rivale never reached the sales volumes of MV's Brutale or F3 ranges, and a crossover this uncommon means a dealer is less likely to have a spare axle cover sitting on a shelf when one gets marked. A rider who drops the Rivale at a junction or while manoeuvring in a tight car park faces a longer wait and a higher bill for a genuine replacement than an owner of a more common naked would. Sliders fitted early take that risk off the table before it ever becomes a problem.
Fitment and Compatibility
The PF045 is listed for the Rivale 800 from 2013 to 2016; confirm your exact year against the current application list. No other MV Agusta model in our range currently shares this particular front axle part.
Road Approval
Accossato supplies no German ABE or equivalent approval paperwork for the PF045, so we list this pair for racing and competition use on the Rivale 800 rather than for everyday road riding.
Scope of Delivery
