DescriptionThe whole story▼
Between the GSX-R 600 and the GSX-R 1000 sits the 750, a size category most manufacturers dropped from supersport racing years ago but one that Suzuki has kept building and riders have kept using for exactly that middle-ground feel. Accossato's AD019 is a pair of fork preload adjusters for it, a 19 mm hex cap machined from aluminium and anodised in seven colours, listed for the GSX-R 750 of 2006 to 2017.
Key Features
- Fork preload adjusters for the Suzuki GSX-R 750, 2006 to 2017
- Sold as a pair, one per fork leg
- 19 mm hex key size
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised
- Seven colours: blue, black, red, silver, titanium, green, gold
- Adjusts fork spring preload
- Mirror covers, steering stem nuts and swingarm bobbins available for the same bike
- No German ABE on file; for track use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato machines the AD019 from aluminium on CNC equipment and anodises the pair in blue, black, red, silver, titanium, green or gold. A 19 mm key turns the hex, the only dimension Accossato states, and the adjusters take the place of the standard caps at the top of the fork legs, changing only the preload set into the fork springs.
A Size That Fell Out of Fashion Elsewhere
Most other manufacturers stopped selling a 750 cc sportbike years ago, which leaves the GSX-R 750 as one of the few modern bikes still offering that particular balance between a 600's agility and a literbike's reserve. Riders who track one tend to be particular about set-up for exactly that reason, fine-tuning preload between sessions to suit the bike's own character rather than copying settings from a friend's 600 or 1000. The AD019 needs only a hex key to adjust, so that fine-tuning can happen in the pit lane, with the actual figures coming from the GSX-R 750's own manual or from notes built up over previous track days.
Fitment and Compatibility
For the GSX-R 750, Accossato's AD019 covers 2006 to 2017, going into the standard adjuster location without further changes to the fork leg. The same 19 mm hex size is also behind the preload adjuster made for Honda's CB 1000 R RA. Rounding out Accossato's range for this bike are the MC006 mirror covers, the SA001 and SC001 steering stem nuts and the ST002 and ST008 swingarm bobbins.
Road Approval
We have no German ABE or other approval document for the AD019, so it is sold for racing and competition use.
