DescriptionThe whole story▼
Honda carried the same 19 mm fork hexagon from the naked CB 1000 R across to the CBR 1000 RR, which means Accossato's preload adjuster fits either bike without variation despite one wearing a fairing and the other none. CNC-machined in aluminium and anodised to order, the pair sits where the stock caps were on each fork leg, and on a supersport chassis where the forks do most of the visible work under braking, a clean hexagon that takes a socket properly is worth having before any trackday.

Construction and Material Quality
The adjuster is CNC-machined from aluminium, carrying a 19 mm hexagon and an anodised finish in seven colours: blue, black, red, silver, titanium, green and gold. Accossato states its function the same way across the whole preload range: the ring sets the pre-stressing of the fork springs, and the colour exists for choice rather than performance.
Suspension Setup Before the Season
Preload is the setting most riders touch first when a CBR 1000 RR comes out of winter storage, before compression or rebound are even considered, because it decides how much of the fork's travel is spent just carrying the bike's weight. A 19 mm hexagon that seats a socket properly makes repeating that check across a season straightforward, whether the change follows new tyres, a different rider, or simply wanting to feel what a turn or two does at the front end. The same adjuster, fitted once, stays usable for every change made afterwards.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this adjuster for the CBR 1000 RR built between 2008 and 2016. The same 19 mm hexagon is also used on the Honda CB 1000 R and the Suzuki GSX-R 600 and GSX-R 750. Mirror covers MC004, and swingarm bobbins ST002 and ST008, are also listed for this CBR 1000 RR.
Road Approval
No test or approval documents, including an ABE, are held for this adjuster, so it is offered for racing and competition use.
Scope of Delivery
