DescriptionThe whole story▼
The RSV4 RR carries a different fork top to the standard RSV4, and Accossato's answer is a 17 mm hexagon adjuster sized specifically for it, so the socket size has to be checked before ordering rather than assumed from another RSV4 part. Machined in aluminium and anodised to order, the pair sits on top of each fork leg exactly where the stock preload rings were, giving the RR the same adjustment range through a tool that locates properly instead of slipping on a worn or mismatched edge.
Key Features
- Fork preload adjuster for the Aprilia RSV4 RR, 2011-2019
- 17 mm internal hexagon
- CNC-machined aluminium, anodised to order
- Supplied as a pair, one adjuster per fork leg
- Seven colours: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium, gold
- Also fits any adjuster with the same 17 mm hexagon
- AD022, ST001 and ST006 are also listed for this RR
- No German ABE on file; offered for track use
Construction and Material Quality
The adjuster is CNC-machined from aluminium, with the 17 mm hexagon cut to a tolerance that keeps a socket seated square rather than working loose under load. Anodising gives the part its colour, in seven options: blue, green, black, red, silver, titanium and gold, and Accossato describes the function the same way across its preload range, adjusting the pre-stressing of the fork springs rather than any other part of the suspension.
Fork Tops That Differ by Year
Not every RSV4 fork top takes the same hexagon, which is why Accossato lists two different adjuster sizes across the RSV4 family rather than one part for every year; the RR built from 2011 takes this version, while a separate, larger adjuster covers the 2015 RR and the standard RSV4. Checking the bike in front of you, rather than assuming the model name alone decides the fit, is the only way to be certain the socket seats before the ring goes anywhere near the fork.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists this adjuster for the RSV4 1000 RR built across 2011 to 2012, 2013 to 2014 with ABS, and 2015 through 2019. The same hexagon size is also used on the BMW S1000R. AD022, the other preload adjuster listed for the RR, along with swingarm stand bobbins in both finishes, is available for this motorcycle too.
Road Approval
No test or approval documents, including an ABE, are held for this adjuster, so it is offered for racing and competition use. Riders setting up an RR for the circuit will already expect that status from an aftermarket suspension component.
Scope of Delivery
The pack contains two adjusters, one per fork leg, in the colour selected at checkout. No tools travel with the pair.
