Yamaha's MT-09 Street Rally is one of the special versions of the first MT-09, and like the standard bike it is often shared with a passenger at weekends. With two aboard, the front brake has more mass to slow and does more of the work, because weight moves forward as the bike decelerates. Accossato lists the DK077 for the Street Rally from 2014 to 2016. It is a floating front disc of the Elite line, 298 mm by 5 mm with a 132 mm bore, on a black carrier with the Accossato logo on its rivets.

Construction and Material Quality
Two parts make a DK077: the outer friction ring and the black carrier inside it, riveted together so that the ring floats and heat can enlarge it slightly without distorting the carrier. Because it belongs to Accossato's Elite line, the disc matches the thickness of the original equipment part and its rivets carry the company logo. Accossato, based today in Villastellone near Turin, prints the minimum working thickness on each of its discs and warns that a disc worn beyond it may break under extreme stress.
Two Up on the Street Rally
A passenger changes the way a motorcycle stops. The extra weight sits high and behind the rider, and under braking it presses forward, so the fork dives further and the front tyre and discs carry a larger share of the load than on a solo ride. On an MT-09 Street Rally ridden two-up, brake earlier and build pressure more gradually, so that the passenger can brace against the tank or the rider's hips instead of sliding forward. Agree beforehand that your passenger holds on firmly whenever you slow down. Raise the tyre pressures and, where the suspension allows, the rear preload as Yamaha's manual recommends for a loaded bike. After a season of riding two-up, the discs will have worn faster than on a bike ridden alone, so measure them against the printed minimum the next time the pads are checked.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists the DK077 for the MT-09 Street Rally from 2014 to 2016 in two entries: the Street Rally of 2014 to 2015 and the ABS model of 2014 to 2016. Like the MT-09 it is based on, the Street Rally has two front discs, and the price is for a single one. The DKS073, also listed for this bike, has the same dimensions and is the alternative outside the Elite line.
