DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Streetfighter V4 is essentially a Panigale V4 without its fairing, and plenty of them visit a racetrack at least once a season. Track days load the front brakes in a way that road riding rarely does, and the end of each session matters as much as the laps themselves. Accossato's DKS036 is an Elite line floating front disc for the Ducati Streetfighter V4, listed for 2020 to 2023, including the SP, SP2 and Lamborghini versions. It measures 330 mm across and 5.5 mm thick, with a black carrier and the Accossato logo on its rivets.

Construction and Material Quality
The DKS036 belongs to Accossato's Elite line, recognisable by the company logo on each rivet that joins the friction ring to the black carrier. The supplier gives the ring's thickness as 5.5 mm, with an outer diameter of 330 mm and a 72 mm bore in the carrier. Because the ring can shift slightly on its rivets, it expands freely under heat and stays aligned with the pads when the fork is loaded hard. Accossato says its understanding of this behaviour was built up in Superbike as well as Moto2 and Moto3, and that it keeps its discs light because low weight helps a bike turn in.
The Cool-Down Lap
On a track day, the hardest moment for a disc is often not the heaviest stop but the minutes after the chequered flag. A Streetfighter V4 comes into the pit lane with front discs far hotter than any road ride would make them. If the rider stops and holds the front brake on while chatting at the pit exit, the hot pads press against one small area of each ring, and that can leave a patch of pad material on the disc which later shows up as vibration at the lever.
A proper cool-down lap avoids most of it. Ride the last lap at a relaxed pace, use the brakes lightly and let the airflow do the work. In the paddock, leave the bike in gear or on its stand rather than holding the lever, and never throw water on hot discs. Between sessions, look at the discs for heat tint and at their edges for cracks, and measure them against the printed minimum after every track weekend. Accossato points out that a worn disc can break under extreme stress, and a circuit is exactly where that stress occurs.
Fitment and Compatibility
The Streetfighter V4 1103 appears on Accossato's list from 2020 to 2022, the SP from 2022 to 2023, and the SP2 and the Lamborghini edition in 2023. The bike carries two discs at the front, and the price here is per disc. For the same Streetfighter V4, Accossato also lists its EDF099 brake lever. Tighten the disc bolts to the value in Ducati's manual, and replace them if the manual asks for new ones.
Road Approval
For the DKS036 we can show neither a German ABE, nor any type approval, so it goes on sale as a part for track riding and racing.
