The Streetfighter V2 890 arrived for 2025 as a new generation of Ducati's middleweight naked bike. Most examples are still on their first set of discs, and the question for their owners is less when to replace them than how to tell when the moment has come. Accossato's DK053 is a floating front disc listed for the Ducati Streetfighter V2 890 of 2025 and 2026. It is 320 mm across and 4.5 mm thick, rides on a black carrier and is, according to Accossato, interchangeable with the original equipment disc.

Construction and Material Quality
This is a floating disc in the familiar two-part form: an outer friction ring and a black carrier in the middle that bolts to the wheel, joined by rivets. The arrangement lets the ring expand with heat on its own and stay square to the pads. Accossato describes the fit between carrier and ring as the result of detailed study and says the experience behind it comes from racing in Moto2, Moto3 and Superbike. It also credits the restrained weight of its discs with helping a bike steer. The figures are 320 mm outside, 72 mm at the bore and 4.5 mm through the ring.
Where to Measure
Every Accossato disc carries its minimum working thickness printed on it, and the check itself is simple, provided you measure in the right place. Pads never sweep the very outer edge of a disc, so over time a thin lip forms there, standing slightly proud of the worn face. A vernier caliper laid across the disc tends to rest on that lip and reads too thick. A micrometer with small anvils, placed on the band where the pads actually run, gives the honest figure.
Take readings at four or five points around the ring, not just one, because wear is rarely even. If one reading is clearly lower than the rest, look for a groove or a hard spot there. On a Streetfighter V2 890, check both front discs, since the two seldom wear exactly alike. When the thinnest reading approaches the printed minimum, or you find cracks, it is time for new discs. Accossato's general advice is a change at around thirty to forty thousand kilometres, sooner if the measurements say so.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two front discs appear on Accossato's list for the Streetfighter V2 890 of 2025 and 2026: this 4.5 mm DK053 and the thicker DKS053, for which the supplier also states a bolt circle. Measure a disc from your bike and choose the one that matches. The front wheel carries two discs and each order covers one. Fit them to a clean hub face and tighten the bolts in a cross pattern to Ducati's specification for the Streetfighter V2.
Road Approval
A German ABE is not on record for the DK053, and neither is a type approval; it is sold for track and competition use.
