How much life is left in a front disc is a question you can answer with a simple tool and a few minutes of care. On the Aprilia RSV4 RF, a superbike that many owners use for track days as well as on the road, it is worth knowing the answer before every season. The floating DKS032 from Accossato's Elite line, black carrier and all, is on the list for the RSV4 RF from 2017 to 2021, and like every Accossato disc it carries its minimum thickness in print.

Construction and Material Quality
The disc combines a friction ring of 330 mm diameter and 5.5 mm thickness with a black carrier that has a 64 mm centre bore. Rivets connect the two and allow the ring to float, and on the Elite line those rivets carry the Accossato logo. Accossato describes its discs as the product of racing work in Superbike, Moto2 and Moto3, with close attention paid to tolerances between ring and carrier.
Micrometer, Not Guesswork
A vernier caliper will tell you roughly where a disc stands, but a micrometer tells you precisely, because its anvils sit on the worn track without resting on the raised lip at the edge. That lip forms where the pads stop short of the rim, and if you measure across it you will read a figure that flatters the disc. Clean the ring first, then take readings at four or more points around its circumference, in the middle of the pad track. Write them down with the date and the odometer reading. On the RSV4 RF, do both front discs, since they rarely wear exactly alike. Compare the lowest reading with the minimum printed on the disc. Accossato advises replacing its discs roughly every thirty to forty thousand kilometres, sooner if they reach the minimum or show deep grooves or cracks, and a series of dated readings lets you see that point coming well in advance.
Fitment and Compatibility
Two versions appear on Accossato's list for this disc: the RSV4-RF 1000 from 2017 to 2021 and the RSV4-RF 1000 Factory of 2017. The DKS032 takes the place of the original disc on either side of the front wheel, and since the RSV4 RF has two while the price covers one, a full change means two orders. Check that diameter, bore and thickness match your current disc before fitting.
Road Approval
There is no documented German ABE for the DKS032 and no type approval. We therefore sell it for track days and racing.
