DescriptionThe whole story▼
Enduro riders spend almost as much time washing their bikes as riding them, and the way a KTM 350 EXC-F is cleaned has a direct effect on its brakes. The rear disc sits low beside the swingarm, where it collects mud, water and whatever the rider sprays at the wheel. Accossato lists the DK018 for this position on the 350 EXC-F from 2012 to 2026. It is a fixed disc in one piece, described by the supplier as steel-made, with 220 mm of diameter and 4 mm of thickness.
Key Features
- Rear brake disc for the KTM 350 EXC-F, 2012 to 2026
- Fixed one-piece disc from Accossato's off-road line
- Steel-made, as the supplier describes it
- Outer 220 mm, inner 110 mm, thickness 4 mm
- Takes the place of the original rear disc
- Printed minimum working thickness
- Sold singly; no German ABE documented
Construction and Material Quality
Built in one piece, the DK018 lets water run off and mud rinse away without lodging in joints. Accossato puts it in its off-road disc range and says it can replace the original rear disc. Its bore is 110 mm, and the minimum working thickness is written on it: the limit below which, Accossato warns, a disc may break when pushed hard. For the design itself, the company points to its road racing work in Moto2, Moto3 and Superbike.
Washing Day
A pressure washer is the quickest way to clean a 350 EXC-F, and the quickest way to push water into places it should not go. Keep the jet well away from the wheel bearings, the caliper seals and the master cylinder, and aim at the rear disc only from a distance. Soap and degreaser should never reach the friction surfaces. Chain spray is another risk: applied carelessly, it can drift across the wheel onto the disc and pads, so cover the brake while you work on the chain. If anything has landed on the disc, clean it with brake cleaner and a fresh cloth; pads that have soaked up oil are not worth saving. After washing, ride a short way with light brake applications to dry the surfaces, so the bike is not put away with wet brakes.
Fitment and Compatibility
The rear of the KTM 350 EXC-F takes the DK018 from 2012 to 2026, according to Accossato's list, in place of the original disc. For the front wheel there are two discs on the list, the DK017 from 2012 to 2023 and the DK259 from 2012 to 2024. Front and rear discs are sold separately, each as a single part.
Road Approval
Although the 350 EXC-F can be registered, the DK018 has no German ABE and no type approval on record. Its intended use is competition and off-road riding on closed ground.
Scope of Delivery
A single DK018 rear disc, without pads, bolts or cleaning products.
