DescriptionThe whole story▼
The Bonneville T100 keeps closer to the classic touring formula than the Bobber, with a taller screen and a seat built for longer days in it, which is why so many owners load it up for a weekend away rather than keeping it for short local rides. A campsite pitch is rarely as flat as the gravel car park at the entrance, and a tent peg, a guy rope or a hidden dip in the grass can all catch out a bike parked for the night. Accossato lists the TP093 crash pads for the T100 of 2016 to 2018.
Key Features
- Crash pads for the Triumph Bonneville T100, 2016 to 2018
- Accossato TP093, a pair of pads per pack
- CNC-machined aluminium body
- Anodised insert in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Matching screw cover as an optional variant
- Same code also listed for several related Triumph models
- Ask us before ordering whether drilling is required on your bike
- No German ABE on file; for track and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato shapes the TP093 from aluminium on CNC equipment and anodises its insert in a choice of six colours, with a matching screw cover offered for those who order it. Two pads come in a pack. On a loaded T100, with a tail bag or soft panniers changing the bike's balance, the pads are there to take the first contact if it tips over, which can reduce the harm to the frame underneath. Expect them to wear with use, and treat a badly marked pad as due for replacement.
An Uneven Pitch for the Night
Touring riders often arrive at a campsite later than planned and choose a pitch in fading light, when a slight slope or a hidden rut in the grass is easy to miss. The T100, carrying extra weight on the back, feels different on its side stand once luggage is loaded, and a pitch that seemed level in daylight can reveal its true camber only once the bike has been standing for an hour. Check the ground by eye and by hand before committing to a spot, look for soft patches near drainage ditches, and avoid parking directly over a buried guy rope that someone may trip on in the dark. If a gust of wind, a dog, or simply a stand that has sunk into damp grass puts the T100 on its side overnight, the crash pads take that first impact. Look them over the next morning along with the mirror and the lever before continuing the trip.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato's list gives the TP093 for the Bonneville T100 from 2016 to 2018, and our listing follows those years. The same code is also listed in our shop for the Bonneville Bobber, the T120, the Street Cup, the Street Twin and the Thruxton 1200 and 1200R. Accossato states that drilling the fairing is needed on some motorcycles for these pads, so ask us before ordering whether your T100 is one of them. No other Accossato protection part is listed for this model.
Road Approval
We have no ABE or test document for the TP093, so it is supplied for racing and competition purposes.
