DescriptionThe whole story▼
Bike nights and informal meet-ups put a lot of machines into a small space at once, and a Z650 parked among bigger, heavier bikes in a crowded car park is at real risk of being nudged over by someone squeezing their own bike into the row. The bodywork takes that knock, not the rider, since nobody is usually even touching the bike when it happens. For the Z650 built between 2017 and 2020, Accossato's TP096 crash pads cover exactly that risk, with a coloured insert you choose to match the bike or simply to stand out.
Key Features
- Fairing crash pads for the Kawasaki Z650, 2017 to 2020
- Accossato part TP096, two pads in the pack, one per side
- CNC-machined aluminium body with a colour-anodised insert
- Insert available in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Optional matching screw cover in the same insert colour
- Fitting may call for drilling on some applications
- Pairs with the PF052 front axle sliders for the same Z650
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
A milling tool shapes the TP096's aluminium body first, and only afterwards does the anodised insert go in, in the colour you request, so the hue becomes part of the metal itself rather than sitting above it. Buyers wanting a cleaner look can add the matching screw cover. Two pads fill the pack, though Accossato never actually confirms whether any mounting hardware rides along beyond the pads themselves.
Crowded Car Parks and Bike Nights
A popular meeting spot on a weekend evening often means dozens of bikes parked closer together than their owners would really like, and a Z650 squeezed into a tight row is at the mercy of whoever parks next to it afterwards. A clumsy manoeuvre by another rider, or simply a bike toppling in the wind, can knock the Z650 over with nobody from its own side anywhere nearby. Check with us before ordering whether drilling is needed on your particular Z650.
Fitment and Compatibility
This TP096 listing covers the Z650 built from 2017 to 2020; confirm your exact year before ordering. The matching PF052 front axle sliders are listed separately for the same Z650, covering the front wheel area that this crash pad doesn't reach.
Road Approval
There is no German ABE or comparable approval paperwork for the TP096, so Inter-Pace offers this pair for racing and competition use on the Z650, not for ordinary road use.
Scope of Delivery
Two CNC-machined aluminium crash pads with the insert colour you choose, and a matching screw cover if that option is added.
