DescriptionThe whole story▼
A Versys 650 is built to wander off the beaten tarmac occasionally, down a gravel forest road or onto a farm track that a pure road bike would avoid, and that kind of surface is exactly where a front wheel can step sideways without warning. When it does, the bike's adventure-styled bodywork is what grounds out on the loose stone. For the Versys 650 built between 2015 and 2018, Accossato's TP084 crash pads are built for that kind of unplanned stop.
Key Features
- Crash pads for the Kawasaki Versys 650, 2015 to 2018
- Accossato part TP084, two pads in the pack, one per side
- CNC-machined aluminium body with a colour-anodised insert
- Insert available in blue, green, black, red, silver or gold
- Optional matching screw cover in the same insert colour
- Fitting may call for drilling on some applications
- No other Accossato schutzteil currently listed for this Versys 650
- No German ABE on file; listed for racing and competition use
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato CNC-machines the TP084 body from aluminium and fits a coloured anodised insert that holds its finish in the metal rather than as a surface coat liable to chip on gravel. A matching screw cover is available if preferred. The pack holds two pads, and whether further mounting hardware beyond the pads is supplied isn't stated, so no claim is made either way here.
Gravel Roads and Unplanned Stops
Riding a Versys 650 down an unsealed track or a loose farm lane is part of what the bike is sold for, but loose surfaces are also where a front wheel is most likely to wash out without warning, well away from the forgiving grip of tarmac. The bike usually goes down gently at that kind of speed, but the lower bodywork still takes the scrape against gravel or stone regardless of how carefully the rider was going. Check with us before ordering whether drilling is needed on your particular Versys 650, since this isn't confirmed for every model on Accossato's list.
Fitment and Compatibility
This TP084 listing covers the Versys 650 built from 2015 to 2018, including the standard, Tourer and Grand Tourer trims; confirm your exact year before ordering. No other Accossato part for this Versys 650 is currently listed alongside it in our shop.
Road Approval
There's no German ABE or comparable approval document for the TP084, so Inter-Pace offers this pair for racing and competition use on the Versys 650, not as a road accessory.
