DescriptionThe whole story▼
For the 2024 Zero S ZF14.4, Accossato produces the AGPA96 front pad in EV2 racing compound. It is aimed at riders who take the latest S to the track for competition: club races, endurance events or timed sessions. EV2 is described by Accossato as a top racing compound, made to deliver strong, repeatable stopping under the loads of a race.
Key Features
- AGPA96 front set for the Zero S 2024 (ZF14.4)
- EV2 racing compound
- Accossato's top racing mix
- Repeatable stopping power in race conditions
- For club racing and timed sessions
- Alternatives: OR, ST, EV1, ZXC
- Two pads, one caliper
Construction and Material Quality
Accossato calls EV2 a top racing compound. It is built for high temperatures and heavy, repeated braking. The company also designs its pads to control heat and wear slowly, so fade remains limited during long sessions. Before it reaches working temperature, a racing compound like EV2 does not behave like a street pad, which is why it suits a bike prepared for the circuit.
Endurance Sessions and Brake Management
In longer track sessions, brake management becomes part of the strategy. On the 2024 Zero S, the friction brakes share the work with the motor's regeneration, and both affect how hot the pads and battery get. Riders often adjust the regen level to balance stopping and energy use over a long run. EV2 pads are designed to stay consistent as temperatures rise. Check pad wear during pit stops, keep the fluid fresh and look for heat discolouration on the disc after each session. A small notebook helps: record lap count, regen level, air temperature and how the lever felt at the end of each stint. Over a season that record shows when a set of EV2 pads starts to fade and when the next set should go in. At the circuit, always check the pressure point again before the first lap, since the lever should feel exactly as it did when the bike left the workshop, firm and without extra travel.
Fitment and Compatibility
Accossato lists AGPA96 for the front caliper of the Zero S ZF14.4, 2024 only. The S of 2015 to 2017 uses AGPA92 at the front. For the rear, Accossato offers AGPP91. Fit both pads together and never mix compounds on the same caliper. Pump the lever until firm before leaving the pit lane.
Road Approval
As there are no approval papers or German ABE available to us, these pads are sold for motorsport and competition.
